The resort was undergoing major expansion and needed more water to meet the projected demand. Gemini, working with its local representative Polymetrics MX, prepared a multi-phased approach to permit expansion of the system, integration of the more efficient energy recovery, and replacement of the obsolete control and motor control system which included remote access for support and control by staff. In June 2019, Gemini designed and fabricated the required components, and working with Polymetrics MX, installed and commissioned the upgrades which allowed the owners to reduce energy consumption while meeting the water needs without procurement of a new desalination system. The most recent replacement of the control system has permitted automation of the water supply while eliminating costly replacement of failed obsolete control components.
